Thank you for sending in your question, your situation is one that I would consider more complicated than a regular relationship. Not only because there are 3 people involved, but also master/slave elements. As in any relationship, honesty and communication are important. I think that in this type of relationship it is even more crucial.
I think the best thing to do would be to have all 3 of you sit down and talk with each other about how everyone is feeling, how everyone thinks things are going, and what you all can do to make sure the bond between you is strong. People are complex creatures and constantly changing, so what filled their needs a year ago might not necessarily be doing the trick now.
